Mediatation Therapy – A Way That Leads To A Better Life

Meditation is way to train the mind and that can be performed at any time and in any place. Meditation helps in a great way in accelerating peace of mind, no matter whatever is going on around. The most important goal of meditation is to keep you focused and make your mind and body calm and quiet. In the beginning, it will be certainly very difficult to sit for hours and meditate without thinking of anything, but once you get into the habit, gradually it will be easier. One of the simplest and easiest ways of meditating is to focus on the breath says Dr. Naram, a healer of ancient therapy. Meditation therapy is an effective way of life for that helps in promoting inner peace, health, personal growth, healing, wisdom, creativity and interpersonal harmony.

How to Meditate:

There are many important and helpful ways in which a beginner can start practicing the process of meditation. They are as follows:-

  1. CHOOSE A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT

Meditation should be practiced some calm and peaceful place and environment. This will enable or help the individual to focus only on the task which is at hand and avoid distracting their mind with outside stimuli.

  1. WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES.

During the process of meditation practices try to wear clothes which are highly comfortable for you. One of the most important goals of meditation is to calm the mind and prevent the external factors and this can be difficult if you feel uncomfortable due to tight clothes, warns Dr. Pankaj Naram.

  1. SIT IN A COMFORTABLE POSITION

It is very important that you are sitting in a comfortable position while you meditate, as the position is very essential. Generally meditation is practiced by sitting on the ground and most of the process of meditation on the ground takes place in a lotus postures or position.

  1. CLOSE YOUR EYES

The best way to perform meditation is with the eyes closed. This will help you to block out the external visual stimulation and prevent you from distraction as you will only focus on calming your mind and body.

  1. DECIDE HOW LONG YOU WANT TO MEDITATE.

Before you begin to meditate you should decide how long you are going to meditate. As a beginner you want to meditate for long duration of hours but due to lack of concentration and the distraction of the external stimuli you may get frustrated and leave the process in midway. So as a beginner you can start practicing meditation for at least 5 to 10 minutes in a day and you must mediate at the same time of the day.

  1. STRETCH OUT

We know that meditation involves sitting in one spot or place for a certain period of time. Before and after your meditation process gets over you must do light stretching which can help you to loosen up and prepare your mind and body to perform other during the process of meditation.

Lastly, you must set your mind and focus. In order to meditate, you must focus on one thing only and if you are a beginner, it might help you to focus on one thing, such as your favorite song or visual object.  This will help you to explore a deeper level of consciousness and you can perform your meditation with more ease.
